    Description:

    He AXP® AX1606 sump guard It is designed for the Yamaha Tenere 700 2021-2024offering reinforced protection for the most exposed areas of the lower part of the motorcycle during Trail, Adventure and Off-Road use.

    It is manufactured in HDPE (high density polyethylene) 8 mm thick, a material especially suitable for off-road driving thanks to its high resistance to impacts, abrasion, and blows against stones or obstaclesHDPE also has the ability to absorb impacts and recover its shape, preventing the permanent deformations common in certain metal protective materials. AXP also highlights that this material does not generate vibrations or resonances and reduces the noise produced by stone impacts.

    Its design provides ample coverage of the underside of the motorcycle, helping to protect important components such as the engine block, crankcases, exhaust system and water pump during demanding use.

    Unlike a metal skid plate, HDPE also allows slide over obstacles with greater ease and can be between 30 and 40% lighter than equivalent protection made of aluminum.

    Note: AXP currently markets an updated version for the Tenere 700 2021-2026 under the reference AX1779, with 8 mm HDPE and 3.4 kg actual weight. For this card I would keep AX1606 + 2021-2024 + weight 10 kg just as you need for your product.
